Star Wars: Daisy Ridley Chooses Baby Yoda Over Porgs
Saga-capper Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker may have featured the final clash between the Jedi and Sith, but there’s still an important battle currently happening off-screen – the silent war between 2019 phenomenon Baby Yoda, from Star Wars: The Mandalorian, and porgs!Porgs, the adorable (and tasty?) bird-like aliens who lived on the planet Ahch-To, became all the rage back in 2017 thanks to The Last Jedi. But now, despite them reappearing in The Rise of Skywalker, no one’s saying a peep about them.

But what if one of the sequel trilogy’s main stars was forced to choose between Baby Yoda and porgs? Well, here’s what Daisy Ridley herself had to say on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon…

“Baby Yoda,” Ridley answered quickly, when asked which creature was cuter. “Look, I’m not a big fan of the porgs,” she added, explaining that during the press rounds for The Last Jedi she’d get non-stop questions about porgs.

Meanwhile, The Rise of Skywalker gave fans a new creature obsession (to rival Baby Yoda?) with Babu Frik and featured a bunch of fun cameos and callbacks (including an alien creature secretly voiced by Mark Hamill).
